MCP Guide
SESAM provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude, Codex or the assistant in Visual Studio Code use external tools. Once your assistant is connected to SESAM, you can manage your workspace in plain language, for example:
- "Build a scenario for the area around Alexanderplatz in Berlin with a 30 minute duration."
- "List my scenarios and rename the one called
TesttoBerlin Mitte morning peak." - "Duplicate scenario 24 and move the copy into my project
Study 2030." - "Export scenario 24 as a ZIP and give me the download link."
The assistant calls SESAM on your behalf with your own account. It sees and changes only your own projects and scenarios, and it is subject to the same plan limits as in the web interface.
Info
MCP currently covers the Workspace and the Builder. Running simulations and analyzing results are not yet available through MCP.
Requirements
- A registered SESAM account. Guest users cannot use MCP.
